    Co-Founder, Administration & Family Support

    Lisa is one of the founding members of Hidden Secret Recovery and the steady heart behind much of its day-to-day operations. With a background in business administration and a lifelong dedication to family, she brings both professional expertise and deeply personal experience to her role.

    As the mother of a loved one in recovery, Lisa knows the toll addiction takes on families—and the hope that comes with healing. Her warmth, patience, and unwavering belief in second chances make her a trusted presence for both clients and their families.

    Lisa’s mission is to break the stigma around addiction, create space for meaningful recovery, and ensure that every person who walks through Hidden Secret’s doors feels supported and seen. She and her husband Mike have been married for over 39 years, raised two sons, and are now proud grandparents to eight grandchildren—reminding us all of the strength found in love, resilience, and family.

    Samantha is often the first friendly face guests see at Hidden Secret Recovery. In long-term recovery herself, she brings a deep understanding of the strength it takes to begin again. Her personal experience fuels her compassionate, non-judgmental approach—creating a welcoming space where every individual feels supported from day one.

    With a background as a trained paralegal, Samantha also offers practical insight to guests navigating legal or custody-related challenges. Known for her calm presence and exceptional organization, she plays a vital role in keeping our team grounded and our operations running smoothly.

    With over 30 years of experience as a business owner and entrepreneur, Mike brings financial leadership and heartfelt purpose to Hidden Secret Recovery. As both a co-founder and father who has personally walked alongside a loved one through addiction, his commitment to this work runs deep.

    Mike’s approach is rooted in compassion, resilience, and a belief that recovery is not only possible—it’s transformational. He plays an active role in supporting both the operations of the centre and the individuals and families we serve, offering encouragement and wisdom shaped by lived experience.

    A devoted husband, father, and mentor, Mike helps foster a healing environment where clients feel empowered to rebuild their lives—one step at a time. His message is simple but powerful: no dream is too big, and no detail too small, when you're ready to give recovery your all.

    Adam Beman

    Co-Founder & Director

    Adam leads Hidden Secret Recovery with lived experience, relentless passion, and a deep commitment to changing the conversation around addiction. After finding recovery himself, he dedicated his life to helping others do the same—becoming a certified interventionist, Narcan-trained advocate, and community leader.

    From launching youth-focused 12-step groups to guiding families through crisis, Adam brings a direct, tough-love approach grounded in total abstinence and real connection. His leadership at Hidden Secret reflects this mission: no cookie-cutter programs, just personalized, compassionate care rooted in the power of community and recovery.

    Outside of work, Adam is a proud dad, youth hockey coach, and classic car enthusiast. He shares this journey with his fiancée Samantha, who stands beside him in life and in the mission to help others heal.

    Paul Nason, MSW, RSW

    Clinical Director

    Paul brings over two decades of experience in addiction services, mental health, and social work. His passion for social justice began early and shaped his career path—from working in adult corrections in his early 20s to leading community-based recovery initiatives. With experience in outpatient counselling, methadone clinics, forensic services, and mental health court coordination, Paul has consistently focused on destigmatizing addiction and mental illness.

    Holding both a Bachelor and Master of Social Work with a specialization in addiction, Paul is committed to recovery that heals shame and empowers self-compassion. As Clinical Director at Hidden Secret Recovery, he leads a therapeutic program rooted in accountability, empathy, and the belief that everyone deserves the chance to rewrite their story.

    Jeff Lundberg

    Recovery Coach & Personal Trainer

    Jeff brings a unique blend of lived experience, peer support, and physical fitness to the recovery journey. A certified Peer Support Worker with a focus on addiction and mental health, he draws from over 30 years in recovery and two years of professional experience supporting others on their path to wellness.

    In addition to his role as a recovery coach, Jeff is a dedicated personal trainer with a decade of experience in MMA and boxing, and over six years competing in Strongman events. His approach emphasizes the connection between physical and mental health—helping clients build strength, self-confidence, and resilience through movement.

    At Hidden Secret Recovery, Jeff is a steady, motivating presence who understands the journey firsthand and helps others reclaim both their bodies and their futures.

    Kylee Keating

    Recovery Coach

    Kylee is currently completing her final year of a Bachelor of Social Work and brings both academic training and frontline experience to her role at Hidden Secret Recovery. She holds a diploma in Social Services from NBCC and has worked with both youth and adults in mental health and addiction settings.

    Her previous roles include human service counselor and residential youth care worker, where she supported individuals through complex challenges with empathy and compassion. Kylee’s passion for this work is deeply personal, shaped by her own family’s experience with addiction and a lifelong drive to help others navigate difficult circumstances.

    At Hidden Secret, she brings fresh energy, strong values, and a deep commitment to making a difference—one client at a time.

    Mia Savari-Jaillet

    Head Councilor

    Mia was the first call when the idea for Hidden Secret Recovery took root—and she’s been a guiding voice ever since. With a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a specialization in addiction, Maryam brings deep clinical insight and a compassionate, purpose-driven approach to her work.

    Over the past eight years, she has supported military members, veterans, first responders, and civilians facing PTSD, substance use, and mental health challenges. Her experience includes roles at Ledgehill and Oakhill Recovery Centres, where she helped individuals rediscover meaning and motivation through education, structure, and group support.

    Maryam’s practice draws on evidence-based therapies including CBT, CPT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. She is dedicated to helping clients build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and reclaim a sense of purpose in recovery.

    Chef & Kitchen Manager

    With over 30 years of culinary experience, Neftali—known affectionately as “Nef”—brings both heart and expertise to the Hidden Secret kitchen. A passionate chef and volunteer, he has been instrumental in designing a comforting, home-cooked menu that nourishes both body and spirit.

    Beyond menu creation, Nef has helped equip and organize the kitchen to ensure every meal is served with care, quality, and attention to detail. His dedication to creating a welcoming, nutritious food experience reflects our belief that recovery is supported by every aspect of daily life—including what’s on your plate.
